Abstract

Background of the problem in this study is the implementation of supervision in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah throughout PaguyanganBrebes not running effectively. There are several indications of this problem. Firstly, the implementation of assistance supervisorsis not too clear, because some of them do their assignment for administrative purpose only and they do not prepare the program systematically. Secondly, the supervisors are not professional, some of them have less professionalism. Therefore, if the assistance supervisors can run effectively supported by professional supervisors, so it willinfluence the teacher performance. This study is aimed to know: (1) Assistance supervisors, (2) Supervisors capability, (3) Assistance supervisors‟ influences and ability of supervisors individually or collectively for teachers‟ performance. The method used is “ex post facto” by the study populations are the teachers and students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah around Paguyangan, Brebes. While, the students selection is based on the purposive random sampling. Technique of data analysis used is descriptive quantitative. The data is analyzed by using descriptive analyses, classic regression analyses and variable regressions. The result of descriptive analysis reveals that the assistance supervisors in enough category (mean scale: 50,98), the ability of the supervisors is in enough category (mean scale: 74,00), and the teachers performance is also in enough category (mean scale: 72,00). From the result of the regression analysis of the assistance supervisors obtained the value of r= 0,655: p= 0,000, and the effective contribution= 0,43, it means that 43,0% of teachers performance is influenced by assistance supervisors in implementation of supersession. Besides, the result of regression analysis of supervisors‟ ability obtained the value of r= 0,610: p= 0,000, and the effective contribution= 0,372, it means that 37,2% of teachers performance is influenced by supervisors‟ ability. The conclution of this study is that 47,4% of teachers performance of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah around Paguyanganis influenced by assistance and capability of supervisors.
