Abstract

This study aims to reveal: 1.The utilization of social capital in a religious-based character education in a learning process by intra-curricular and extracurricular activities and school culture. 2. The utilization of social capital is viewed by togetherness and cooperation aspect in a religious-based character education. 3. The utilization of social capital is viewed by tolerance-solidarity aspect in the learning of religious-based character education in SD Al-Irsyad Purwokerto. The data collection is taken by observation, interview and documentation. The analysis technique use descriptive technique which explain the data to solve the problem. The research conclusions are: 1.The social capital in religious-base character education through PMB (intra-curricular) activity has important and positive role to grow the character value of student in SD Al Irsyad 02 Purwokerto. b. The social capital of religious-base character education in extracurricular activity is a school agenda to build the student potential and competency. The extracurricular activities have a positive role to support the process of planting character values to school community, both activities related to religious social and social. c.The culture of SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyah 02 Purwokerto students are summarized in eight aspects. 2. The utilization of social capital viewed from togetherness and cooperation in daily learning process at SD Al Irsyad 02 is based on religious values. The students always pray, dzikir and read the Quran together every morning. Togetherness make a sincere solidarity and high discipline and create the student religious-character.3. The utilization of school social capital viewed from solidarity and tolerance aspect in character education is a school social activity. For the example, the open house in SD Al Irsyad 02 which held every year in a second semester aims for syiar and promotion. This activity is to introduce SD Al Isyad 02 as a religious-base school which has a slogan “the champion school” which produce national and international champion. The school teach their student to have a social character
