Abstract

Curriculum is a spirit in education. To enhance and improve the quality of education, the first thing to do is to develop and complete a curriculum relating to the potential of the region as well as the demand of the period. Education will be able to create young generations who are intelligent and skillful when curriculum is developed and implemented in accordance with the basic needs of them. In this moment, development of curriculum by educational institutions becomes very necessary for the institution to compete in providing quality assurance of education to the society. One of school that is relatively new in Banyumas is Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Modern Satu Atap Al Azhary Ajibarang. The school is recently founded for around six years, but it is able to attract 307 students in the district of Banyumas and it has 30 alumni . Meanwhile, the focus of this research is curriculum management of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Modern Satu Atap Al Azhary Ajibarang. The research problemis "How is curriculum management of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Modern Satu Atap Al Azhary Ajibarang, Banyumas?" Type of research is field research using a qualitative approach to the nature of the research is descriptive-analytic. Research subjects in the research are the Headmaster, founder, teachers and pupils. Data collection techniques in this study are: observation, interview, and documentation. Then, to get the results of the thesis, researcher used data analysis model such Miles and Huberman, while the process consists of: Reduction of Data, Display / Presentation of Data, and taking the last conclusion which is verified. Finally, researcher used the triangulation to test the validity of data. The results of research at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Modern Satu Atap Al Azhary Ajibarang as follows: the process of curriculum management is done through planning, implementation and evaluation. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Modern Satu Atap Al Azhary Ajibarang using KTSP curriculum, but in developing the curriculum, it uses model of Hilda Taba. The curriculum development procedures are: determining the educational goals, selecting a learning experience, organizing curriculum materials and learning activities and evaluating results of the curriculum. Indeveloping the curriculum , Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Modern Satu Atap Al Azhary Ajibarang has been using management functions so that the goal can be achieved. However, the improvement and innovation of the curriculum is still being done so that the goal can be achieved more optimally.
